Pre-booked journeys

Frequently asked questions

Shortly after completing your booking, you will receive an email confirming the details we received. One of our operators will match a driver and vehicle to your booking.

You will receive an email from Argb Ground Transport with confirmation of your booking, including the name and contact details of your driver, along with a payment link. Once we have received payment, you will be sent a receipt.

Your booking is now confirmed.

The advertised fare is based on a four-seat saloon vehicle.
If you do not require a larger vehicle (for more passengers, suitcases, or hand luggage), then there will be no other charges added during the booking process.

During the journey, any deviations to the route that you ask the driver to take (extra pickup, drop off locations, etc) will result in further charges, which he/she will quote for you.

If the driver has to wait for more than 15 minutes, then a fee of £5.00 per 15 minutes will be charged.

Yes, we do offer a Meet and Greet service.

If you select this service, your driver will meet you in the arrivals hall with a name board.
If you have provided a mobile phone number, he/she will usually text you to let you know that he/she is waiting before you come into the arrivals hall.

Argb Ground Transport does not charge for Meet and Greet on both legs of your journey like many online services.

Our current fee for our Meet and Greet service is £10.

When selecting a vehicle you will be shown the maximum passenger and luggage capacity of that vehicle.
We always recommend that if you think it will be a tight fit then you should choose the next vehicle size up.
If you still have any doubts please ring us so that we can make sure all your passengers and luggage fit in the vehicle safely.

All our drivers are licensed by the Council licensing service. This means that they:

  • Have passed an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (Formerly known as CRB Criminal Records Bureau).
  • Have passed the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) test.
  • Have passed a stringent medical examination
  • Had to pass a Licencing Council knowledge test
  • Has a Taxi awareness training certificate
  • Has a disability awareness certificate
  • Has completed a tax check code

Taxi operators have to log every booking with details of the pickup and destination address, name, contact details, and licencing documentation of the driver plus vehicle licensing details and provide this information to the council licensing department or police immediately on request.

The first thing to do is check that the confirmation email has not ended up in your spam folder. If it has, move it back to your inbox.

In the unlikely event that the confirmation email failed to be sent by our system please ring us.

No.

The price quoted is for the vehicle you chose during the booking process.

The maximum number of passengers the vehicle can legally and physically carry is displayed with the vehicle you choose during the booking process.

No.

During the airport transfer booking process, you will be asked for the flight number of any inbound flight. This is so we can check the flight status leading up to collecting you from the airport.

We will dispatch your driver in plenty of time to be at the meeting point 20-30 minutes after your flight has landed.

We will not charge you any unnecessary waiting time or parking fees unless you require the driver to park and meet you inside the terminal.

Yes.
Please enter the scheduled arrival time, as we will track the flight status and make sure you don't have to pay unnecessary fees for waiting time and car parking.

Most airlines ask that passengers arrive 3 hours before International flights, 2 hours ahead of European flights and 1 hour before internal flights.
We suggest that you give plenty of time for any possible delays due to unexpected traffic build-up etc.

You will receive a payment link in your booking confirmation email. You use this link to make payment through our card payment provider Zettle.

If your driver has left to pick you up then you will still be charged. However, if you cancel even at late notice (5-10 minutes), as long as he/she has not started the journey, there will be no charge.

If your driver arrives at the address you provided and you are not there, he/she will attempt to contact you on the phone number you provided.

If he/she cannot contact you, then they will wait 15 minutes and then leave. You will be charged the full fare.

No.

When paying for your journey by payment link you will be taken to a secure payment page provided by our current payment provider, Zettle.
During the transaction, you will be given the option to save your card details on the Zettle system for ease of use during any further transactions.

Argb Ground Transport has no knowledge of your card details and so can not and does not store them on our system.
